Summary of Practice
Sunghwan Kim is a partner and member of the firm's trademark department, where he specializes in all areas of trademark law, including trademark prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings, licensing, opinion work, and commercial transactions involving IP assets.

Additionally, Mr. Kim represents large domestic companies such as Samsung C&T, SK Group, KEB Hana Bank, and LF Corp in trademark litigation and anti-counterfeit matters across numerous jurisdictions.

Due to his influence and expertise, Mr. Kim currently serves as a committee member on the IP Evaluation Committee for the Korea Invention Promotion Association and the Gyeonggi-do IP Consulting Committee for SME’s (Trademark/Design) and is the co-author of ‘Guidebook for the Protection of International IP Rights for Korean Companies’ published by the Korean Intellectual Property Office.

Mr. Kim was admitted to the Korean Patent Bar in 2004 and is a member of the Korea Patent Attorneys Association and Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
